California trance mogul Christopher Lawrence kicks off yet another new series for System Recordings, Subculture 01, celebrating the launch of his own record label Pharmacy Music. Christopher’s success has been rapidly rising, from his award for Best DJ at the Dancestar USA Awards to his seventh seating on the prestigious DJ Magazine Top 100 chart in 2004, 2006 should prove to be a banner year for the trance pioneer.  Subculture, his first mixed compilation since 2002’s Exposure IV release, features tracks by John “00” Flemming, Steve Morley, Astrix and Wrecked Machines. —RN
