Rocco Deluca I Trust You To Kill Me (Irownworks Music)
Signed to Kiefer Sutherland and partner Jude Cole’s new record label Ironworks Music, Rocco Deluca becomes their first artist to be launched by the label. Deluca does have the fortunate privilege to be adored by Sutherland, who wants nothing more than everyone to really listen to his prolific guitar playing and emotive lyrics. Deluca demonstrates great versatility vocally, at times sounding a lot like U2’s Bono, or even Thom Yorke of Radiohead—his guitar technique utilizes Zeppelin-esque acoustic riffs with classic southern blues and slide-guitar. Deluca recently played to a sold-out crowd at The Guvernment in Toronto, opening for Lifehouse on their tour, and it shouldn’t be too long before this kid sees himself doing duets with Sheryl Crow for some future broadcast of the Grammys. —TJ
