Fans of the broken-beat sound as popularized by Bugz In The Attic and Domu will love all the funky jump-up beats and party-praising MCing on this killer album’s title track, “Style & Pattern.” Largely, Arnold’s musical theme is a blend of punch-and-shuffle, Afro-Latin and disco rhythms, rough Reggae and nu soul lyricism, and deep and funky organs and guitars, reminiscent of label-mate Jeremy Ellis (Ayro).
