|
Ghostly International Ghostly International, one of the most progressive labels in the world, blending the minimal electro-techno sounds with the hip hop underground, with groundbreaking artists like Matthew Dear (Audion), Mobius Band, Bodycode, Skeletons & the Girl-Faced Boys and Tadd Mullinix, a.k.a. Dabrye, a.k.a. James T Cotton, a.k.a. SK-1. The label began after Matthew Dear and Samuel Valenti IV met at a party in ’99, and Mullinix’s debut album Winking Makes a Face became Ghostly’s first release. Minimal electro-techno, stoned out beats and dark jams makes Dabrye’s second LP essential listening once you tally up all the guest appearances: Doom, Wildchild, Waajeed, Kadence, Invincible & Finale, Big Tone and Jay Dee & Phat Kat. -Rusty |
