I suppose it was bound to happen: Radiohead receiving a most unusual tribute album by a collection of eclectic producers/remixers in the underground community of hip hop, house and nu jazz. Shawn Lee of Shawn Lee’s Ping Pong Orchestra kicks things off with a quirky, downtempo rendition of “No Surprises”; from the Definitive Jux crew RJD2 does a minimalistic and instrumental interpretation of Ok Computer’s opener “Airbag”; New York City DJ Mark Ronson does a funky version of “Just” from The Bends, complemented by alto and baritone saxophones; The Sa-Ra All Stars do a mellow, crooning yet jazzy version of Kid A’s “In Limbo”; and Osunlade steals the show with his trip hop laden work of “Everything In Its Right Place” from Kid A with sweet vocals by Erro. -CQ
