Frontera (Music For Dreams)

Frontera is the studiobased brainchild of DJs Pete Hebert and Phil Mison.  Their self-titled first release offers up ten solid tracks that range from outright atmospheric to deep house.   Pre-recorded and synth elements deftly blend with live vocals and instruments.  “A baia” has such a perfect Café Del Mar-esque vibe it’ll make you wonder why these two didn’t team up sooner.  But if the album has a flagship its “Rouge”.   Frontera’s talents are on full display with this track: the deep base and smart instrumentals give this track such a worldly electrofunk vibe that it's pure traveling without moving.  —SEC
