The Aussie pretty-boys of garage rock are back with their third album, just in time to follow the lead of The Strokes. Part of this retro-punk revival that involved The Strokes, The Hives and The White Stripes, The Vines are a little softer around the edges than the previously mentioned bands, but no worries if you’re a fan, ’cause it’s more of the same. No real new territory gained here, but the melodies are decent enough and the occasional bursts of aggression were enough to keep me listening. —SFW
